Kian:It's hard to believe this "life of ours is over"

"WESTLIFE's Kian Egan has admitted that the boys will lost when they hang up their mics next weekend."

Kian, Shane, Nicky and Mark will go their separate ways after two sensational Croke Park shows on Friday and Saturday — after 14 years together.

And 32-year-old Kian admitted the boys will all need time to readjust to their new lives away from the band.

He told the Irish Sun: “This is all we have known since we were teenagers so I imagine we will be lost,” “We always spent at least half of the year touring — it has been our way of life for so long — it’s hard to believe that after this tour that’s it — no more.”

Next weekend’s massive Dublin gigs will be the last time the manband will perform as a fourpiece.

Since getting together in the late 1990s, and Against All Odds, the talented lads have notched up a staggering 45 MILLION record sales and 12 Irish No1 singles.

And now, as they approach the end, Sligo lad Kian revealed they’ve been in a World Of Their Own and have been reflecting a lot on the past.

He shrugged: “When you look at footage from the early days it just seems like a lifetime ago.

“We have been through so much together as a band and spent more time together than people do with their own families.

“It’s not as if we are never going to see each other or won’t remain close — it’s that the days of performing together as Westlife are finished and that’s hard to believe.”

And 33-year-old Dubliner Nicky Byrne admitted that the boys have been overwhelmed by the support from fans since the Irish Sun revealed they were splitting back in November 2011.

He beamed: “The love we are getting has been incredible.

“It feels like when somebody dies and everyone says how great they are after the person has gone.

“We’ve been joking with people saying, ‘We wouldn’t have broken up if we’d realised you liked us so much. We never knew you cared.’”

Dad-of-one Kian has promised the 140,000 fans who are travelling to Croker next weekend that they are in for a real treat.

Westlife are planning on picking the most popular songs from their lengthy career to wow their loyal supporters.

He grinned: “It’s exciting — we are bringing in a lot of songs that we haven’t done in a long time like I Have A Dream. There will also be a medley as fans seem to love that.

“The whole thing will be very high octane. We are going to try and bring in every element of Westlife’s career and make it a Greatest Hits to remember.”

Westlife were formed by Louis Walsh in 1998 when he took Sligo lads Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan from boyband IOU and put them with Dubliners Nicky Byrne and Brian McFadden.
